Alison HorstmeyerAlison Horstmeyer, MS, MBA
Associate Director of Sponsorship

Following a successful career as a business development executive in Entertainment and Technology working for both Fortune 500 corporations and venture backed emerging companies, Alison wanted to make an impact in a different, consequential way. Having guided high performing teams, and at the same time, witnessing first-hand the prevalence of disengagement, burnout, and the inability for many of her colleagues to develop homeodynamic adaptive skills and behaviors so they could thrive, Alison chose to embark on a path to become an executive coach and business growth consultant. She recognized to most effectively assist clients to successfully navigate the complexities and uncertainties associated with the contemporary business landscape required nonconventional approaches originating from evidence-based constructs of positive psychology, psychophysiological interdependencies, intrinsic motivation, and emotional and behavioral self-regulation intelligence. In parallel, as she continued her work, she realized the potency and profundity of curiosity. Her consultancy, Intrinsic Curiosity, has been founded on an empirically supported framework designed to cultivate curiosity, a growth mindset, and sustainable, productive behavioral outcomes. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Mind-Body Medicine in which her research is dedicated to uncovering the invariant structures of curiosity with the aim to illuminate innovative ways in which curiosity can be cultivated.

Alison holds a Master of Science in Mind-Body Medicine from Saybrook University, and a Master
in Business Administration from the USC Marshall School of Business. She currently serves as a
graduate teaching fellow in the Mind-Body Medicine program at Saybrook University. Alison is
also a certified yoga instructor and you can find her teaching yoga in the LA area as her way of
