Prior to launching Step Into More, Rachel served as Human Resources Manager at EMI Music Distribution and the Manager of Organization Development and Training at Easton Sports, Inc.
Rachel earned a Master of Science in Counseling for Business, Industry and Government and a Bachelor of Science in Business with a specialization in Human Resources. She achieved her Coaching Credential through the International Coaching Federation and is a certified Strengths coach with the Marcus Buckingham Company. Rachel is certified/qualified in a variety of assessment tools including the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, 360 degree assessments, and the Standout Strengths based assessment. I grew up on a Montana farm in a gritty, dive in and get your hands dirty, never give up until you succeed, kind of family. And for most of my life I was “successful” in sports, music, marriage, family, business and ministry. I received a B.S. in Business Management from Indiana University ('85) and managed operations teams in a Fortunate 500 Logistics Company. Later I received an M.Div. from the International School of Theology('94). From there I not only founded and lead a new and growing church in Highland CA for 16 years, but coached other entrepreneurs to do the same. Despite all this success, there were several times I found myself stuck and depressed, or resentful and angry, which only caused me to drive harder, robbing my heart and relationships of freedom and joy. Maybe you can relate.
For years as a leader and coach, I was embarrassed to admit the walls I’d hit and struggled through, the added messes my drivenness created in order to cover, control and overcome my mistakes. But when I availed myself to wise counsel and coaching amidst a mid-life crisis, transformation occurred. My character was strengthened, new competencies arose and my success driven scorecard began to shift for the better, to things of significance.
Today, my calling as a leadership development coach is all about launching emerging, entrepreneurial and executive leaders, their families and their teams. I am slowly replacing the “trophies of my success” with “pictures of clients: influences who are experiencing transformation from the inside out, leaders empowered to traverse the walls and challenges of their calling with hearts fully alive, teams and organizations more effectively advancing their God-given mission. Dr. Billi, Ph.D., Neuro-Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and certified Co-active ADHD Coach, has over 35 years of experience helping people of all ages manage ADHD. With a Ph.D. in Education, an MA in Expressive Arts Therapy and a BA in Physical Education, she specializes in innovative coaching and therapy intervention for ADHD, Asperger’s Syndrome, as well as various learning disabilities and memory disorders. Combining her background in expressive arts therapy, co-active coaching and teaching, Dr. Billi developed the AttentionB Method™ to empower others to take pride in their unique traits and transform their personal ADHD challenges into useful assets.
She is licensed in Mediation/Conflict Resolution and Pedagogical Academic Management, and has lectured all over the world at conferences, seminars and universities. Janine is a Hudson-certified Executive Coach, a certified EQ Mentor, ICF-ACC certified, as well as being trained by and a Partner with Evolution. Coaching is her third, and final career. She started off in Engineering, as a tech consultant with Accenture, went on to lead all technology for the North American offices of a global advertising agency, TBWA Chiat/Day, and then led all non-legacy engineering efforts at DirecTV. Next up, she founded and exited a tech & product recruiting agency focused on So Cal startups. As her career progressed, she started to coach and mentor Founders & Executives, and found her place in the world.
She sits on the board of Women Founders Network and Target Zero, and has taught entrepreneurism in prison. She’s a mentor for Techstars LA and Stubbs Alderton’s Precellerator. She Co-Founded Women in the Tech Part of Tech, a group of female startup tech execs with a mission to increase our voice and mentor the next gen.
