ICFLA Newsletter - September 2011

Carrie KishPresident's Message

We are really enjoying the opportunity to get to know you better at our monthly events and in our teleclasses! We are adding several dimensions to our monthly meetings that are more about you.

We now offer you an opportunity to introduce yourself and your business and share your response to one of many table topics. We are adding a short mastermind session after the speaker so that you can share your ideas about the evening’s topic. And, we are using online feedback forms for both teleclasses and our monthly programs so that you can share your comments, appreciation and suggestions with us. We are very excited about these opportunities for us to get to know each other and support each other!

Please make sure you check out our Leadership Spotlight, our September Meeting and our Upcoming Teleclasses! We are looking forward to learning and growing with you at the ICF Conference this month in Las Vegas! And, don’t miss the opportunity to join us to coach MBAs in October at the NSHMBA Conference!

We look forward to seeing you at our monthly meeting and connecting with you on our teleclasses!

Love,
Carrie Kish

  • Ever wish business building was more fun and produced more results?
  • Tired of the hype “get rich fast” approaches that don’t really speak to your authentic self?
  • Overwhelmed and working hard, but not getting the results you want?

Leslie Lupinsky, Master Certified Coach, Author and Co-Owner of Inspired On Demand, will inspire you with a lively and engaging presentation, mixed with fun and experiential exercises, designed specifically for coaches. You will leave with tips and tools for creating a marketing and enrollment system that is a win-win for you and your clients. Plus you’ll learn the three common mistakes coaches make in building their business, and how to avoid those mistakes and create a thriving business with heart and soul.

Leslie draws upon two decades of business development experience and 16 years of coaching. She blends the two approaches to show you how to create a sustainable business, without selling your soul. She is on the faculty of several international coach training organizations, teaching students how to integrate their coaching and business skills in an authentic and heart based manner. She is also co-author of the popular book, used as a required text in several coach training schools: The Inspired Business Approach: Building Your Business from Inspiration, not Perspiration.

I have taught Julia Cameron’s The Artist's Way for several years as a teleconference class that meets weekly for six months. Through it I have discovered the single most effective tool for personal transformation in my coaching practice: Morning Pages.

Morning pages teach clients how to:

  • Have a meaningful daily conversation with themselves
  • Sharpen intuition and enhance creativity
  • Develop the discipline to show up and be present to themselves

In this teleclass I will explain:

  • The tools of the Artist’s Way
  • How this course dovetails so well with coaching goals
  • How Julia’s experiential approach to learning can shift your client’s behavior

In this teleclass you will:

  • Experience what it feels like to write morning pages
  • Explore the fear or resistance you have to a particular creative project in your life
  • Learn how the Artist’s Way can boost your creative skills as a coach

Join me and discover how The Artist’s Way can support your vision of building your coaching practice.

In this interactive teleclass, we’ll explore 4 key perspectives that have a remarkable influence on every aspect of life. We’ll focus particularly on how they impact your business/career success. Join us for this lively, enlightening, and liberating experience!

Benefits of Attending:

  • Discover the 2 most common perspectives that sabotage and stagnate your growth
  • Explore the 2 most empowering perspectives that support your growth
  • Learn to identify which perspective you are engaging in any moment
  • Learn to “shift on a dime” to a more empowering perspective

Preparation: Reflect on your business/career. Consider what is going well and what is not. Answer the following questions (you may choose to journal, discuss with a friend, or simply think about them):

  • What is your definition of success? How do you know if you are successful?
  • What are the issues you wrestle with the most? What “hooks” you? What do you complain about? (If you don’t know, ask someone who is close to you…they know!)
  • What comes easily to you?
  • What are you most proud of?
  • What do you want most? What is your heart’s desire?
