Our nation is navigating an era of heightened political polarization, which has intensified discussions around diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. The coaching profession is not exempt from these societal dynamics. At Apoyo Coaching and Consulting, we recognize that you may have clients who are underestimated professionals or individuals from majority groups seeking your guidance as they grapple with these divisive times.
Your clients may face challenges such as navigating predominantly White organizations while staying true to their identities, coping with microaggressions or stereotype threats, or even addressing tensions sparked by organizational statements on social issues like racial justice.
As a coach, you play a pivotal role in helping them find clarity, resilience, and strategies for authentic engagement in such complex situations.
Do you feel equipped to coach exceptionally across differences in this polarized climate? This workshop is designed to empower you with the skills and confidence needed to support your clients in navigating these nuanced, high-stakes conversations while honoring their unique identities and values.
Participants will:
- Discover the Intercultural Development Continuum model and its practical applications in coaching.
- Discover what it means to adopt a posture of cultural humility and learn how to cultivate it.
- Understand what cultural competence is and how to start developing cultural humility.
- Discover how their own personal and social identities can influence their coaching practice and learn to utilize the Identity Wheel as a valuable coaching tool.
Additionally, participants will receive a workbook for the course and a copy of the book Dear White Leader: How to Achieve Organizational Excellence through Cultural Humility.
Cost:
$500 (or two courses for $800)

Students must complete the 6 hours of training to receive a certificate of completion.
