Description
What does it take to build a community that truly lasts?
In a world filled with audiences, platforms, and transactional networking, meaningful communities are increasingly rare. The communities that endure are built on something deeper: trust, shared purpose, participation, and a commitment to serving others over time.
Join ICFLA for a dynamic cross-industry conversation with leaders who have built impactful and sustainable communities across business, nonprofit, professional, and affinity-based spaces.
Together, we’ll explore:
🔵 What distinguishes a real community from an audience or network
🔵 How trust, belonging, and engagement are intentionally cultivated
🔵 What helps communities sustain momentum and relevance over time
🔵 How leaders can create spaces that continue to grow and serve others
🔵 How coaches, consultants, and leaders can become more valuable contributors within the communities they serve
This is not a traditional panel discussion. It is a practical and candid conversation among people actively doing the work of building communities that create connection, growth, and lasting impact.
Whether supporting clients, leading teams, building networks, or creating communities of practice, participants will leave with insights and strategies for fostering communities that matter—and learning how to better serve the communities they are already part of.
What You’ll Gain:
- Clarity on what makes a true community – Understand the foundational elements that create belonging, engagement, trust, and long-term participation, and what separates community from audience or network.
- Practical strategies for sustainable community building – Hear directly from leaders across industries about what helps communities grow, evolve, and continue creating value over time.
- Tools for deepening connection and participation – Explore how intentional design, shared purpose, and consistent engagement strengthen both personal and professional communities.
- Insights for serving communities more intentionally – Identify ways to show up as a more effective leader, participant, connector, and community steward in the communities you’re already part of.
- Understanding of community’s transformative power – Learn how communities accelerate growth, resilience, and meaningful change for individuals, organizations, and collective impact.
