Itinerary:

✅ Light bites and non-alcoholic refreshments will be available in our reserved area throughout the event
✅ 10:45 – Arrive early to sign the waiver (view and/or sign it here) and change your attire, if needed
✅ 11:00 – We have three courts reserved from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm – Come ready to play!
✅ 11:20 – Pre-Game Pep Talk & Stretch with Coach Paul Sanbar, MCC
✅ 11:30 – Pickleball Lessons, Practice and Mini-matches – See below for more info
✅ 1:45 – Closing Ceremonies – Takeaways & Learnings

Description

Whether you’ve never played Pickleball and only heard people talking nonstop about the fastest-growing sport in America, you’ve only played a couple of times but don’t remember the rules, or you’re a seasoned pickleballer ready to smash and dink, join ICFLA in a day of purposeful play to remind ourselves that growth comes from intention and practice.  

So let’s get uncomfortable, together!

In this fun-filled day of community, movement, and stepping outside of our comfort zones, we’ll begin with a brief pep talk on the connection between coaching and purposeful play from Paul Sanbar, MCC.  We’ll have multiple courts and a private area for refreshments and catching up with your ICFLA teammates.

Regardless of your knowledge or skill level, we have something for everyone:

1. Lesson Court: Private Pickleball lessons from a professional coach dedicated to our ICFLA event (ends at 1:00 pm)
2. Practice Court: Practice returns and dinking with an experienced ICFLA member/pickleballer
3. Mini-Match Court: Open Play Doubles matches coordinated by ICFLA and designed for quick games, so we can all try it out

What do I wear or bring?

➡️ Come ready to move your body in comfortable attire, as if you were going to the gym or taking a walk
➡️ Lockers and changing rooms are available if you are coming from work or would like to change clothes at the location before or after the event
➡️ IMPORTANT: Only closed-toe non-marking tennis shoes are allowed on the court (See the guide HERE)

What if I’ve never played before, or I don’t have a paddle?

🔸We’ll have enough paddles available for everyone on the court
🔸We’ll have a private coach leading lessons and teaching the rules
🔸Once you feel ready to advance from the short lesson, we’ll have a second court dedicated to continuous practice with an experienced ICFLA pickleballer
