In this podcast-style session, we will have the opportunity to learn from Coach Irené Turtle about how she integrates emotional intelligence into her coaching and gets beneath the surface with her clients without using terms like “emotional intelligence” and “psychological safety.” We will also have an opportunity to hear what trends she’s seen in coaching, particularly as they relate to emotions and emotional intelligence, and how she has addressed the trends and challenges. Finally, we will explore the topic of “confidence” with her as a trending topic of coaching in her practice. Participants will have an opportunity to ask Irené questions. Irené has over twenty-five years of experience working with companies in technology, entertainment, consumer products, and financial services. She helps her clients to develop confidence and build on their communication, conflict resolution, delegation, and team development skills. She also works with teams as a facilitator, workshop leader, and team coach and helps them increase their awareness, their ability to work well together, and operate at a high-performance level. She specializes in virtual, global, and multicultural teams.

Desiree Briel Rodi is an ACC-certified coach who harnesses the power of Emotional Intelligence to drive awareness, action, and accountability. She has worked in higher education administration, non-profit management, and people & business strategy. Desiree holds a B.A. in Art and in American Studies from Yale University, an MBA from Seattle University, where she has assisted with graduate leadership courses, a Certificate in Evidence-Based Coaching, and an MA in Organizational Development and Change from Fielding Graduate University, where she is now pursuing a Ph.D.
