Description

Often used interchangeably, team and group coaching call on very different skills. Teams are a specific type of group, in which all members are working together towards a common goal, usually focused on enhancing the organization or the team’s relationship and processes. Groups bring together individuals who are working towards their own goal and share an interest or challenge. Through coaching, they benefit from the other members’ wisdom and stories. Join us to learn new techniques that pertain to groups and team coaching, practice, share and have fun in the process!

In this interactive session, we’ll spend time thinking about the mistakes group and team coaches can make as well sharing strategies on how to deal with them. Examples of bleepers and bloopers might be sticking to the plan, taking up all the space or answering for the team/group member.

The goal for this session is to create awareness for great group/team coaching practices and to provide you with clear strategies to create engaging sessions led by the participants, not the coach.

Takeaways include:

  • Gain clear strategies to avoid common group/team coaching mistakes
  • Apply new ways of being with the group
  • Understand how taking a step back creates more agency in group participants
