Description: 

Being present in the moment is very empowering. It means focusing your awareness on the here and now. Imagine being able to give your full attention to your client? How would that make them feel? 

The more important question is: How can you cultivate that capacity in yourself?

We look into the science behind the term Mindfulness and the ability to be present in this session. We also touch on MBSR and MBCT and how you can utilize them in your coaching work.

About Kathy Hadizadeh, PCC

Kathy Hadizadeh, MSc, PCC, CPCC, EQAC, BPC is the founder of Heart-Mind Tuning in Los Angeles and a former IT executive.

Most recently Kathy was a fellow of Intensive Practice Program in Mindfulness Studies and Practice at UCLA Mindfulness Awareness  Research Center(MARC) in Semel Neuroscience Department. She continues her path in Mindfulness research and studies with a year-long tenure with the prestigious Training in Mindfulness Facilitation(TMF) program at MARC. 

Kathy is an Associate Director with International Coaching Federation(ICF), Los Angeles chapter and strives to bring education to coaches and elevate coaching culture and mindful leadership in organizations.

In her 15-year tenure with the corporate world, she has worked for several fortune 100 & 500 companies like DIRECTV, AT&T, Yellow Pages, Westfield, and Omnicom exposing her to ins and outs of various industries: Manufacturing, Entertainment, Marketing and Advertising, Property Management, and Financial industry. Using her background in systems thinking and her track record in mind-body connection, Kathy developed methods that amplify the effectiveness of leaders and boosts innovation in teams.

Ellen Cohen, J.D., CPCC, is an executive coach certified by CTI and the International Coach Federation (ICF) and is an enhanced practitioner in Conversational Intelligence (CIQ). She focuses her coaching on senior executives and lawyers across industries (e.g., banking, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, consulting, entertainment and healthcare) to enhance their professional impact, build high-performance skills and cultivate wellbeing and resilience.  Prior to becoming a coach, Ellen spent over 20 years as an entertainment attorney in business affairs at Disney, Showtime, Sony, Fox, and Microsoft.
